Members of the UIC Christian ministries invite you to prayerfully walk with Jesus in the Way of his Cross on Good Friday, April 2, 2010, beginning at 1:30 at the Littlefield Fountain, across from the University Catholic Center. We will stop and pray at 14 sites on the UT campus, beginning with the Littlefield Fountain, and ending on the steps of the Tower. Walking the Stations will last a little over an hour. We invite you to walk Jesus' last steps and to acknowledge his suffering even as he still shares in the suffering of our lives, the failures of our society, and the sins of the world. A Good Friday focus on Christ's suffering at the hands of the Romans for the sake of the world's salvation enables a fully joyful appreciation of the Christian celebration of Jesus' resurrection on Easter Sunday. The content of each of the 14 stations is give to us in Scriptures or in ancient traditions.
UIC will have their annual interfaith dialog the evening on April 14th. Check us out!
The University Interfaith Council would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to President Bill Powers and Vice President of Student Affairs Juan Gonzalez for joining together with the various campus ministries for the annual breakfast.
